My name is Debby and I am a surgical nurse.

I have been wearing glasses for distance for 35 years. At first I only needed them for watching TV and later for driving. I found, as I grew older my vision was becoming progressively worse and the need for glasses was increasing.

I asked the eye surgeon I work with about refractive surgery and we scheduled an eye exam. The experience at Ohio Vision, LLC was wonderful. I have had numerous eye exams but never one as thorough as I had there. The staff was extremely friendly and answered all my questions. After a very thorough eye exam I was told that I would be a great candidate for the Lasik procedure.

On the day of my surgery, I came to the surgery center and was assessed by my surgeon and an ophthalmologist. We discussed the procedure in detail and everything was explained to me again. I needed no sedative prior to the procedure and when I was taken into the room, I was placed in a recliner much like the one used in a dentists office. A speculum was placed into my eye and it was a little uncomfortable for about 30 seconds and then it was OK. Numbing drops were placed in my eye and then the procedure began. It took only several minutes and it was finished. I went home rested the rest of the day and the following morning when I had my eyes rechecked, I was happy to learn I had 20/20 vision. Ohio Vision, LLC is very concerned with not only the surgical experience but also with the follow-up. Not only did they see me the next day to check my vision, but again in 6 weeks, and I’ll be scheduling an appointment to see them in 6 months. The doctors at Ohio Vision, LLC are involved with the follow-up care, which increased my comfort level with the experience.

I wish I had done this sooner. It was the easiest and best experience and would recommend it to anyone wanting to be free from wearing glasses.
