Dr. Wilding is board certified in Ophthalmology and received his medical degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kirksville, Missouri. He actively participates in seminars and lectures bringing his patients the most recent advances in vision care. He is a member of the American Academy of Sports Vision, the Columbus Academy of Osteopathic Medicine, and the Ophthalmological Associate of Research to Prevent Blindness. Dr. Wilding is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology,
the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association,
the Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, the Ohio
Osteopathic Association, the Ohio State Medical Association, the Shelby
County Medical Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive
Surgery.
Dr. Schemmel is an optometrist certified by the Ohio State Optometric Board. He received his degree from The Ohio State University in 1992. He served as a U.S. Army Paratrooper and Optometrist in the 82nd Airborne Division, as well as an Optometric Consultant, attached to the 3rd Special Forces Group in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina from 1995 to 1997. Prior to that he was a staff optometrist at Womack Army Hospital and the Assistant Chief of Optometry Services, as well as Quality Assurance Coordinator at Ft. Bragg.
Dr. Schemmel has held teaching appointments in the
Southern College of Optometry as well as the University of Houston’s
College of Optometry.
